Our Outstanding Staff: Investigators and Site Staff

At Wagner Kapoor Research Institute (WKRI), our clinical research studies are supported by a dedicated team of professionals who work together to ensure your safety, comfort, and care throughout every stage of a study. Each team member plays an important role in guiding you through the research process and making your experience as smooth and supportive as possible.

WKRI’s Physician Investigators

WKRI’s physician investigators are experienced doctors who lead and oversee clinical research studies while actively caring for study participants.

They work closely with Clinical Research Coordinators to ensure each study is conducted safely and according to the study plan. Most importantly, they are responsible for your medical care during the trial and are always available to address concerns, answer questions, and monitor your health throughout your participation.

Because our physician investigators are fully engaged in both patient care and research, they bring a deep understanding of each study and remain closely connected to the patients they serve.

WKRI’s Clinical Research Coordinators (CRCs):

Clinical Research Coordinators are at the heart of every clinical trial at WKRI. They serve as the main point of connection between you, your doctor, and the research study.

While the study doctor provides medical oversight, the CRC manages the day-to-day details of the study. They guide patients through each step, explain what to expect at every visit, and make sure all study procedures are completed safely, accurately, and ethically.

CRCs also ensure that each study follows strict research guidelines designed to protect patient safety and privacy. Their careful attention to detail helps ensure that study results are reliable while keeping your experience organized, supported, and informed from start to finish.

Regulatory Team

Our regulatory team works behind the scenes to make sure every study at WKRI meets strict ethical and safety standards.

They ensure that studies are approved, properly documented, and continuously monitored according to national and international research guidelines. This helps protect patients, maintain privacy, and ensure that each clinical trial is conducted responsibly from start to finish.

Laboratory Team

WKRI’s laboratory specialists collect and process all study-related samples exactly as required by each research study.

Their work supports accurate results and helps ensure that study testing is performed safely, efficiently, and consistently, all while prioritizing patient comfort.

Imaging Team

Imaging technicians play a vital role in many clinical trials, especially in eye-focused research.

They perform specialized imaging tests that allow researchers and doctors to closely monitor eye health and treatment effects over time. These images provide critical information while helping ensure patient safety and comfort during each visit.

Vision Technicians

Vision technicians are essential to clinical trials because they perform many of the vision tests used to measure how treatments are working.

They conduct visual acuity and function assessments with care and precision, helping generate accurate information about changes in vision throughout the study. Their work ensures results are reliable while providing a calm, supportive experience for patients during testing.
