Alaa Al-Dabbagh, MD, is an ophthalmologist and medical retina specialist at Wagner Kapoor Institute in Virginia Beach and Norfolk, Virginia. 

Dr. Alaa graduated from the Jordan University of Science and Technology (MBBS) in 2011 and then proceeded to train in ophthalmology at the same faculty.

In 2012, he joined King Abdullah University Hospital, where he spent four years of training in a top ophthalmology residency program in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, distinguished for his great surgical skills and active participation in patient management and academic research.

Dr. Alaa graduated from the Jordan University of Science and Technology with a Higher Specialty Certificate in Medicine. 

He acquired his ophthalmology specialization from the Jordanian Board soon after finishing the residency training in 2016 and became a member of the Jordan Medical Council.

Dr. Alaa acquired the Arab Board of Health Specialization in Ophthalmology in 2017, and he is currently a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO).
