About Dr. Ian Uber
Dr. Ian Uber is a highly skilled ophthalmologist and surgeon originally from Western Pennsylvania. He graduated with merit from the United States Naval Academy before earning his medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences.
Dr. Uber completed his transitional internship at Naval Medical Center San Diego, followed by flight training at Naval Air Station Pensacola. He went on to serve as a flight surgeon with Marine Attack Squadron 542 and Marine Attack Training Squadron 203 at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point in North Carolina.
He completed his ophthalmology residency at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, where he was selected as chief resident in his final year. Dr. Uber is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and the Society of Military Ophthalmologists.
Dr. Uber specializes in comprehensive ophthalmology, with particular expertise in refractive surgery, cataract surgery, humanitarian eye care, and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery.
Outside of his practice, Dr. Uber enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, traveling, and following a wide range of sports.
